Intellectual Property & Licensing Terms

By engaging Shot by Shen (The Photographer) for services and accepting the final images, you agree to these IP and licensing terms.

1. Copyright Ownership

Shot by Shen retains the full and exclusive copyright to all photographs, digital files, and original works created. You purchase a license to use the images, not the underlying copyright.

2. Client Usage License

The client receives a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the final edited images for the specific purposes commissioned.

Permitted Use: Displaying images privately; making personal prints; using images on your website, professional social media, and printed marketing materials (within package limits).

Crediting: You must credit "Shot by Shen" clearly when publishing the images online or in print.

3. Prohibited Use (Restrictions)

You may not, without written consent:

• Sell, rent, or sub-license the images to any third party.

• Edit, filter, or alter the images in a way that materially changes the artistic integrity (standard resizing is permitted).

• Submit the images to any photography competitions or awards.

• Transfer the license to another business or individual.

4. Photographer’s Right to Use

Unless a paid exclusivity agreement is signed, the client grants Shot by Shen the unlimited right to use any images for: Portfolio display, marketing, self-promotion, and entry into professional awards.

5. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Switzerland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Switzerland.
